Blake Lively was featured in 2005's successful family film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The role represented a great opportunity for Blake to let moviegoers see her acting talent, but an ensemble cast is a difficult setting to try to market one's acting abilities. Blake Lively was also cast in Simon Says (2006) and in the comedy Accepted (2006), two films that garnered her some attention. But Blake Lively finally fell into some star power when she was cast in the teen TV series Gossip Girl in 2007.
